Materials Testing

Let’s get your product’s documentation to stand out as much as your product!

We strive to make your life as easy as possible by working to your needs. If you want a few minor properties of your material tested, a fully defined teardown or even if you just have a specification to meet and aren’t interested in the details, we are happy to accommodate.

We cover an array of physical tests to get under the covers of your material, crushing, tearing, bending, stretching, poking and prodding. We’ll even build new machines to break things in strange new ways if that’s what you want!

To push the boundaries further, we also cover a multitude of environmental tests to show off the resilience of your material (or work out what it needs to be kept away from)! From the more standard environments of heat, cold, humidity and salt spray to extreme environments of oils, fuels, acids, glycols and solvents to name a few.

Alongside our Medical and Face Mask testing, we have added Barrier Mask testing to CWA 17553:2020 based on the AFNOR specification
Bacterial Filtration Efficiency, to BS EN14683:2019+AC:2019 Section 5.2.5, is a measure of the resistance of a material to bacteria penetration.
The Splash Resistance test method to EN 14683, in accordance with ISO 22609:2004, enables a fixed volume of synthetic blood to be directed at high velocity at the center of the mask.
Due to the unprecedented increase in the demand for face mask testing, we have expanded our testing laboratory to meet our clients requirements and time-lines.
Compression testing is a testing method that is used to establish the compressive force or crush resistance of a material and the ability of the material to recover after a specified compressive force is applied. It is often seen as the opposite to a common…
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link still holds true for polymer chains bonding materials together.
Breaking rubber concoctions down into sets of numbers
Computers are meant to define modern day life, I take a look around and beg to differ
Less scientific but often spectacular especially in slow motion.
Measuring the adhesion strength and assessing the method of failure to ensure your product sticks like ...............................................................................................     it should.
The humble but hugely important tensile test, the go to reference for engineers world wide.
Another bond strength test, often used to determine effects of weathering on coatings.
