Xenon Arc exposure replicates and accelerates sun and rain weathering of materials or products. Products are subjected to intense Xenon light giving an accelerated effect of what natural sunlight would do to the item.
The testing can be done with rain and humidity and also window glass filters (for indoor items in shop windows). The exposure will help determine the life of a material or product that would be naturally exposed to light.
Problems such as embrittlement or discolouration can be discovered far quicker and corrected before they are released to the public, preventing expensive recalls or damage to reputation.
